NPH – Aspergillus Prevention Works at Connolly & Tallaght Hospitals

Design & Build Project

Before the new National Paediatric Hospital (NPH) Satellite Centres could be built at Connolly & Tallaght Hospitals, we undertook extensive Aspergillus Prevention Works in both Hospitals. Projects carried out in a live environment on a phased basis where the building remained occupied and functional for the duration of the works.  The project had a gross floor area of 900sqm. The works consisted of installing AFU’s (Air Filtration Units) in Multi-Bed Wards & Single Rooms, along with providing the associated electrical works to power the AFU’s. The works also included significant modifications to existing AHU’s (Air Handling Units), along with providing some new AHU’s where required. Where new AHU’s were installed, we also provided the associated civil and structural services, such as concrete plinths, footpaths, fencing, etc. The works were completed wiithin a tight timeframe in which the adjacent buildings were maintained during the works.
