We currently have two vacancies at Moston, Contracts Manager and Senior Quantity Surveyor.
Contracts Manager
This is a new and permanent role representing an excellent opportunity for an ambitious person to take a leadership role within an established building company. We are looking to bring in a Contracts Manager to help successfully deliver our projects and form a key part of our Construction Department.
Contracts Manager Role & Responsibilities:
– Managing 2 to 3 Projects at a time, where a Site Manager will be based day to day
– Pre-start Project Planning, including preparing construction programmes
– Setting up daily/weekly tasks for your Site Managers
– Liaising with Clients & their Design Teams
– Reviewing drawing packages and issues
– Monitoring quality on site and dealing with any quality issues
– Ensuring compliance with safety, environmental and quality statutory and regulatory requirements
Qualification & Education Requirements:
– 10+ years (minimum) Industry Experience
– 3 rd level qualification in relevant field, site management, engineering or relevant trade qualification and experience.
– Excellent reporting, analytical and computer skills.
– IOSH Managing Safety in Construction, Occupational First Aid, and any other CSCS or CPD training should be provided.

Senior Quantity Surveyor
This is a new and permanent role representing an excellent opportunity for an ambitious person to take a leadership role within an established building company. We are looking to bring in a Senior Quantity Surveyor to help successfully deliver our projects and form a key part of our Surveying Department.
Senior Quantity Surveyor Role & Responsibilities:
– Understand contract obligations and any other undertakings to the client
– Be responsible for submitting interim Payment Claim Notices and final claims.
– Ensure close co-operation with Contracts and Site Managers as regards assessment of progress, identification and evaluation of variations and additions to the original contract work.
– Liaise with Contracts Managers to ensure that claims issued are comprehensive.
– Ensure valuations & invoices are issued promptly.
– Report in detail as required by the Commercial Manager, on the financial status of the project.
– Negotiate, as necessary, with subcontractors, clients and/or their representatives.
Qualification & Education Requirements:
– Strong Leadership skills
– 3 rd Level Qualification (Degree/Diploma) in Construction Economics/Quantity Surveying, or equivalent.
– 8-10 years + experience working as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably with a Main Contractor.
– Excellent reporting, analytical and computer skills.
